Last week we had snow in Atlanta area. If you know anything about Atlanta, the city pretty much shuts down for snow. Since the schools were closed and because the roads can get slick with ice I decided to stay home. (The idea of getting trapped in a monster snow traffic jam did not appeal to me)
I had recently bought a macro lens. It is the Tamron 70-300 macro lens that is compatible with myCanon 6D DSLR. It was about 200.00 for the lens at Best Buy Best Buy Tamron Lens I thought this would be a good starter lens for me since I am still trying to book regular photo jobs. (You need Macros for details shots at events like wedding rings) I took a break around lunch to practice and I went out side to get some frozen ice drops and the melting ice on the table on my deck. This is what I was able to catch with this lens.
This lens works great! If you are looking to explore Macro Photography and are on a budget I think this is a great starter lens. On my computer monitor you can see the reflection of trees in the frozen water drop on this branch. I will keep practicing and post more in the future..
