Unplugged Weekend

My husband decided that he wanted to go camping. It was perfect spring weather. Warm and sunny during the day with cool nights. And by camping he means sleep in a tent and cook everything on a camp stove or fire. My last camping experience wasn't so great so I was a little hesitant about going but I am a good wife.  We picked Fort Mountain in North Ga. (Up by Elijay) It was a really nice place with a lake and a little beach area, places to fish, paddle boats, and mini golf.  The girls and I spent a couple hours by the lake while the husband went fishing. It was really nice to lay in the sun and read a book. (I completely ignored my phone. It was awesome) The girls went into the very cold water. I got a few shots of them freezing. :) Then later we went hiking up to the overlook. This spot off the mountain is up at the top and you can see for about 80 miles. I am not a fan of heights but I went up there. It was a beautiful sight and I sat down on the bench for most of it. The few reminded me of one of the look outs at the Grand Canyon. The girls both had their phones but amazingly didn't use them at all. They even played real games like Battleship and cards. Sunday morning I taught the girls how to skip rocks. (How could they not know about this all this time?)  I took a lot of photos (of course) and while I am not a fan of sleeping in a tent, it was a really nice weekend.
